This USB cable is the same cable that ships with current Benchmark products. It is similar to the generic USB cables that ship with computer products.
Due to the jitter attenuation provided by the Benchmark UltraLock™ systems, special "premium" USB cables are not recommended. Benchmark products will provide jitter-free performance with any USB cable.

"I accidently got 2 of these USB cables and I tried it on the Schitt Yggi+ LIM and the Benchmark DAC3B. They both sounded better than the $200 - $400 USB cables I was using (forgot the exact price). Now I wish I accidently ordered 3 of them for my other Schitt Yggi+ OG DAC."
"I have exactly the same experience as Mr. Gordon. But the point isn't that the Benchmark USB is that super. It's because that the jitter problem is fixed IN the Benchmark DAC. Benchmark even says in the DAC2 booklet that a standard generic USB cable will do the job. So, if you have a Benchmark dac or equipment of the same standards, this cable is excellent. If not, it's good. Personally, I now use the Klotz USB (at the same price), but it's because it's to expensive to have the Benchmark USB sent from the US to Europe. If you find one in your country, buy it!"
"This is actually a "shadow review" of the DAC3 HGC, because I guess I missed following language in the manual for that product -- "Due to the jitter attenuation provided by the Benchmark UltraLock™ systems, special "premium" USB cables are not recommended." Having missed that language, I continued to use the $400 "audiophile" USB cable that had improved the sound of my previous DAC. I then stumbled upon the language above while shopping for additional Benchmark cables, and figured I'd substitute the cable that came with my DAC3 for the "audiophile" piece. You can guess the rest, and now I'm selling that $400 USB piece. If you own a DAC3, be sure to use the USB cable -- and power cord -- that comes in the box. These people know what they're doing."
