Dreamscapes AV selected Benchmark AHB2 power amplifiers to drive the Krix loudspeakers in their 11.6.6. demo room at the Florida Audio Expo 2026 in Tampa.
The AHB2 amplifiers deliver high power without audible distortion or noise. Even with high-efficiency speakers, the amplifier-induced distortion and noise will remain below the 0 dB SPL threshold of hearing under all operating conditions.
The AHB2 amplifiers are passively cooled and this means that there is no fan noise and no need to isolate the amplifiers in a dedicated machine room. The AHB2 is available in a rackmount configuration and the amplifiers can be stacked directly on top of each other with no empty rack spaces and no limit on the stack height.
The power supply rails in the AHB2 are tightly regulated and this means that the clip point is precisely defined. The regulation also keeps the amplifier is clean all the way up to maximum output. In a theater system, this precisely defined clip point allows a fully optimized alignment between the audio processor and the amplifiers. And, with fully-independent amplifier channels, no channel is capable of stealing available power from another.
Into an 8-Ohm load, the AHB2 amplifiers provide 100W per channel in stereo or 380 W in mono. This flexibility provides a high-power option for driving the main speakers and subs.
